Ấp Ủ: Identity, Journey, and Legacy

Updated: Feb 20, 2020

Episode: 12

Hosts: Trami Cron

Produced by: Chopsticks Alley

In this episode, you will be hearing ten translated stories written by Vietnamese elders from San Jose, CA as part of an art exhibit at the San Jose Museum of Art titled Ấp Ủ: Identity, Journey, and Legacy.

Rooted in stories of place, family, journey, identity and—ultimately—home, the multi-layered works on view as part of this special exhibition were created by elders from San José’s large and vibrant Vietnamese community in a creative learning workshop led by artists Trinh Mai, Binh Danh, and Cynthia Cao at the Vietnamese American Community Center in December 2019.
